Dr. Straton RURANGIRWA holds a PhD in Linguistics (Specialization: Language Policy/Planning) from Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris3 University/France. His research topic is: « Les politiques linguistiques du Rwanda. Enjeux, Bilan et Perspectives » (Rwanda Language Policies: Stakes, Assessment, and Perspectives). Dr. RURANGIRWA obtained his PhD in 2010 after a Master’s Degree in Linguistics (Specialization: Language Sciences and Traductology) from Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris3 University/France (2002) and a Bachelor’s Degree in French Language and Literature from the National University of Rwanda (1999).
 
Areas of research interest:
Sociolinguistics, language policy and planning, lexicology, lexicography, terminology, general linguistics.
